The hall of periodicals has 67 reading places. For the operative servicing the readers there are stored here newspapers and magazines during the last 4-5 years. In the hall there is possible to receive newspapers and magazines according in 152 and in 47 names in the Azerbaijani and the Russian languages.

The common reading hall for the youth and the students has 280 places. The hall has the additional fund, where there are preserved 6367 copies of literatures on the different thematic. The hall of liberal arts is for 36 readers seats. It has its own secondary fund where there are preserved 2368 copies of books.

The hall of the exact and technical sciences has in the additional fund the literature in the quantity of 2005 specimen. The reader seats are in the number of 22.

The hall of the foreign literature has 120 reader seats. The additional fund embraces more than 2500 specimen of books in the different languages.

The reader hall of the inquiry-bibliographic department possesses 8 reader places. In the fund of the department there are stored encyclopaedias, chronicles, literature of the inquiry-bibliographic nature.

The hall of the music publications and the sound recordings has the hall of 16 seats for the individual listening the sound recording.

The hall of archive of the Azerbaijani literature is servicing the readers with the special permit. It has 4 reader places.

The hall of thesis is servicing the readers from 1994 and has a hall of 12 places. The hall of the rare books is for 20 readers. The archive “Caucasus studies” is in popular demand.
